Calendario 2014 QMAD
Se trata de un Calendario un poco especial, que en realidad es un juego de mesa.
Queremos reivindicar un poco el valor del juguete – y de su diseño, por supuesto – dentro de la cultura valenciana, y por eso nos atrevimos a sacar este calendario tan especial y divertido. Junto al calendario, en 2014 lanzamos una pequeña carta que rezaba lo siguiente:
“Desde QMAD queremos que conviertas este nuevo año en un juego, y que intentes pasártelo tan bien como puedas. No hace falta sacar un cinco para salir de casa, tan sólo hay que empezar por la casilla de salida.
Hemos creado este calendario para plantar cara al 2014, y tener por fin un año bueno y por qué no, divertidísimo. Una nueva forma, un calendario diferente por que queremos que juegues con nosotros y los tuyos, que lo disfrutes. Y si no, también puedes regalarlo a esa persona especial, para hacerle este año un poco más agradable.”
Se trata de una impresión a todo color (reivindicando además, que los calendarios suelen ser bastante aburridos) en un papel de 135gr, de 118 x 42 cm, perfecto para jugar con él. Junto al calendario dábamos una “ficha”, un soldado hecho en plástico con nuestro color corporativo con el que podías marcar los días.
No faltan los puentes y los atajos: San Valentín, toda la semana de fallas, el verano que siempre se hace más corto de lo que es… Septiembre tiene forma de laberinto por que es el mes que más nos cuesta seguir… y al final acabamos el año como se merece, llegando al final de nuestra estrella, ¡de la forma más divertida y colorida posible!

2014 QMAD Calendar
It is a somewhat special Calendar, which is actually a board game.
We want to vindicate a bit the value of the toy – and its design, of course – within Valencian culture, and that is why we dared to release this special and fun calendar. Along with the calendar, in 2014 we launched a small letter that read the following:
“From QMAD we want you to turn this new year into a game, and to try to have as much fun as you can. It is not necessary to roll a five to leave the house, you just have to start at the starting square.
We have created this calendar to face 2014, and finally have a good year and why not, hilarious. A new way, a different calendar because we want you to play with us and yours, to enjoy it. And if not, you can also give it to that special person, to make this year a little more enjoyable.»
It is a full color print (also claiming that calendars are usually quite boring) on 135gr, 118 x 42 cm paper, perfect for playing with. Next to the calendar we gave a «token», a soldier made of plastic with our corporate color with which you could mark the days.
There is no shortage of bridges and shortcuts: Valentine’s Day, the whole week of fallas, the summer that always gets shorter than it is … September has the shape of a labyrinth because it is the most difficult month for us to follow … At the end we finished the year as it deserves, reaching the end of our star, in the most fun and colorful way possible!
